Altarnun is a small picturesque village just off the A30 dual carriageway 8 miles west of Launceston. Altarnun has an impressive 15th century church dedicated to St. Nonna, (said to be the Mother of St David) hence the name Altarnun - Alter of Saint Nonna. The Church is often referred to as the Cathedral of the Moors.
